Our mission is simple - help bring people together with food.

Lackawanna County, PA and it surrounding neighbors, with their big hearts, strong hands and brave heritage have blessed us with a large selection of free food assistance pantries.  This web of kindness stretches throughout the area with pantry sites ranging in style from small church basements to the baseball field at Old Forge. There are permanently staffed mini markets, such as Jackson Terrace,  drive-thrus, Holiday dinner boxes and even Easter baskets.

Coal Country Cares is an large online resource directory of these local pantries, meal programs and organizations. 

We try to present the options in as clear and easy a format as possible while still being visually enjoyable and we have intentionally constructed it to be mobile friendly.
